Maya and Ronny’s wedding was defiantly an amazing day with their closest friends and family. In the Colorado mountains, you never know if you are going to get sunshine or rain and well we got both. On the drive up to Estes Park we driving through the rain and the minute we arrived at Mary’s Lake Lodge all we could see was sunshine and blue skies. The minute I say Maya getting ready, my jaw dropped. Man did she look stunning. While I was with Maya and the girls getting ready, my second photographer Melissa was with the men getting all of their fun wedding details.
It was time for Maya and Ronny to see each other for the first time on their wedding day. We drove into Rocky Mountain National Park to Moraine Lake to do their first look. I could not wait for them to see each other. Moments like this is why I love being a Colorado Wedding Photographer. The minute Ronny turned around, the emotions started to flood. I think I almost started crying as I was capturing this moment between them. This is another reason why I love first looks. As a photographer you are able to capture real emotions, this time is just between the bride and groom and not shared with the rest of the wedding quests. After the first look, we headed back to Mary’s Lake Lodge to photographer the wedding party which consisted of just her sister and his brother. Having a small wedding party can be less stressful and you are able to capture more wedding photos in a short amount of time.
I have to say Estes Park an amazing place to have a wedding. The views at Rocky Mountain National Park are like no other!
