The moment I talked to Kim about photographing her wedding in Cuchara, CO I was hooked and in love from what everything she was describing. A small town mountain wedding was right up my ally, as I grew up in a small country town. Kim and I had never meet so I was very eager to meet this country girl. Growing up in Texas I love the country weddings, they take me back home, and I’m known to start singing and dancing when the country songs come on.
I was absolutely memorized by the drive to Cuchara, CO. It really felt like I was in a different country, it was really had keeping my eyes on the road. The wedding day was perfect and I was ready and excited to photograph their wedding.
The day started out with taking the getting ready photos then off to the wedding. The ceremony took place at Grants brothers property that overlooked the mountains. Well lets face it, every spot in Cuchara has mountain views. I say it every time, I love being a mountain photographer in Colorado. The view here just take my breath away. After the ceremony, the second photographer and I took the wedding couple to Cordova Pass to do there wedding photos. Oh man, the sun was peaking through the clouds, the wild flowers were blooming and Kim and Grant were in Love. I was in Heaven. Cordova Pass would also be an amazing place to Elope.
I could have spend the entire night photographing these two. I feel like a lot of Colorado Wedding Photographers don’t know about Cordova Pass, I had never heard of in until Kim and Grants wedding day. This wedding day is one that I will not forget. Please someone take me back to this amazing mountain wedding location.
